2° MUSIC LESSON

To play a tune you must not only recognize notes on a pentagram (see 1st Music Lesson) understanding if it's a "DO", "RE" and so on, but also understand how long they last. It is important to know how long you must hold down a key on a piano, or other musical instrument to play a note. We have to count to one, or up to four or more?
To find out, we will look at the shape of our our note on the staff.
If there is a round empty and without the attached line then you have to hold the note button to the time to count up to four.
If there is an empty round but with an attached line, then you have to hold the note key, the time to count up to two.
If the note shown on the staff is a black colored round with a line attached, you have to count only up to one.
This applies to all musical instruments; each note is counted mentally by the time it apart if you want to play a tune perfectly.
Now we look at a small sample of notes:
from the previous lesson we know that the first note is positioned on the line of "SOL"; the second is on "LA"; the third is on the line of the "RE" and the fourth is on the line of "FA"
Now we just need to know how long it should last each note in the pentagram: the "SOL" 2 counts (because the round is empty and has attacked the line "); the "LA" count 1 (because the ball is colorful and has attacked the line); the "RE" count 4 (round has the ball and is empty without the attached line) and "FA" count 1.
There are also other notes, but we will see in the next lessons.
